POSITION SUMMARY
The Staff Accountant plays a critical role within the Accounting and Finance organization by supporting month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, capital project accounting, intercompany accounting, and financial process improvement initiatives across multiple Vero Fiber operating entities.
This role will work heavily within NetSuite and support a complex multi-entity accounting environment involving construction accounting, fiber network capitalization, telecom-specific accounting processes, project accounting, and operational reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Month-End Close & General Accounting
  • Prepare and post journal entries including accruals, prepaid expenses, amortization, and reclasses
  • Perform monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with month-end close across multiple legal entities
  • Support financial reporting package preparation
  • Investigate variances and unusual fluctuations

Fixed Assets, Capital Projects & Construction Accounting
  • Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation
  • Support CIP accounting and capitalization processes
  • Assist with project closeout accounting and asset transfers
  • Track capital expenditures and capitalization policy compliance
  • Support capitalized labor accounting analysis

Intercompany & Multi-Entity Accounting
  • Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions
  • Support intercompany eliminations and consolidations
  • Assist with entity-level financial reporting
  • Support accounting standardization across entities

Operational Accounting & Process Improvement
  • Improve accounting workflows within NetSuite
  • Support automation initiatives reducing manual work
  • Maintain process documentation and procedures
  • Identify efficiency opportunities and process improvements

Audit, Compliance & Internal Controls
  • Prepare audit schedules and support external audits
  • Maintain supporting documentation for key balances
  • Assist with internal control execution
  • Support tax filings and compliance requirements

Cash Flow & Operational Support
  • Support cash forecasting and working capital analysis
  • Track capital expenditure budgets
  • Support budget vs actual variance analysis

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2-4 years of accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of GAAP
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • ERP experience (NetSuite preferred but not required)
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills

  • Telecommunications industry experience

JOB DETAILS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday during standard business hours.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
  • Base pay is paid at an hourly rate/annual salary rate. The range for this position is $62,000 to $80,000 depending on experience.
  • This role is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on the Company's bonus policy.
